Area Attractions

The Pines of Dresden is located in the heart of Dresden Village, which in turn is located in the heart of Muskingum Country, an hour away from the big city of Columbus and minutes away from local area attractions. We have picked a few places that we both have enjoyed visiting and hope that you might also like.

  Homestead

Dresden is best known as the home of Longaberger Baskets. We are located about 5 minutes from the Longaberger Factory (and newly open factory store) and Homestead. The Homestead has lots of great shopping and restaurants, while making a basket at the Factory is a great time.

Roscoe Village is a great way to spend an afternoon. It  is a 19th century canal town with lots of festivals and shopping. You can take living history tours, or even a canal boat ride. It also has one of our favorite restaurants, the Warehouse, which has a beautiful patio shaded with lots of trees .

Granville    Granville is a quaint, upscale little town that lies halfway between Columbus and Dresden. Great restaurants, shopping and beautiful buildings, Granville is a great place to spend the day. If you would like to see Granville, please take a took at our Granville Ladies Day Out  Special.

Both Ravens Glenn and Rainbow Hills Wineries have delicious wines, but what's even better is the dining in both places. Ravens Glenn features a beautiful dining room overlooking the river, while Rainbow Hills features scenic outdoor BBQs and patios for a rustic do-it-yourself  grilling experience. Guests of The Pines of Dresden get half price wine tastings and 10% off their bill at the unforgettable Ravens Glenn Winery
Wine!

  Amish Country
The Pines is about 45 minutes away from the largest Amish settlement in the world. Berlin, Ohio is at the center of that settlement and is a great place to buy old world goods, antiques or just to look around and experience what it's like to live without modern conveniences.

Who doesn't love Ice Cream? The Velvet Ice Cream Company has been making great ice cream for nearly 100 years. What's even better, they give tours of the plant and interactive ice cream museum. Great day trip for families.

The Wilds
Who would have thought you would be able to go on an African safari right here in Southeast Ohio? Well, you can if you visit  The Wilds, Ohio's own 10,000 acre exotic animal park. They have open air bus tours that let you get up close and personal with all sorts of beautiful and unusual animals.
